When It Rains, It Pours...

Hannah has been very fussy this week, as she's working on several major things at once -

1. She is drooling non-stop. Her gums are swollen, and we think some teeth should be breaking through sometime soon! (I'm excited, both because then she won't be uncomfortable and because it's another stage in her development, but I also will miss those toothless grins!)

2. She is now able to sit up on her own for short periods of time, especially if she is playing with something or is otherwise distracted. If placed on her back, she will try to sit up and is able to keep her head off the ground very well in this position. She is also able to sit up from lying down with help (mostly just us holding her hands, she does the rest).

3. She is very close to figuring out how to move. Once she realizes that she can push herself with her legs, I'm afraid she'll be on the go! She is able to turn herself around in a circle while on her belly, and can already move backwards a small distance. I don't think she is aware of this though (thank goodness!). She spends most of her time on her belly with her arms in a push-up position until she gets tired and lies down briefly. Then back up on her arms with her legs moving. What a strong baby...

All of this is accompanied by a lot of crying, grunting and screeching, so we're suffering through it along with her!

PS - In case you couldn't tell from the photos, she LOVES this toy (we even wonder if she likes the yellow stacker better than the rings!).
