Hannah's First Baseball Game

We took Hannah to her first baseball game last night! We were afraid it might be too hard to try Fenway Park yet, so we decided to celebrate Dan's birthday at a Lowell Spinners game. They are a single A affiliate of the Red Sox and part of the NY-Penn League. Everyone had a great time, despite the 90 degree weather and Hannah was a big hit among the fans in our section!

She wore red, white and blue to support the team, and of course a giant hat to block out the sun. We spent most of the time trying to keep her from getting overheated, so we didn't see much of the actual game, but the atmosphere at the park was great. Lots of families, activities between every inning, and cheap concessions!

Last night's festivities at the game included an adult baby bottle chug-off and other similar activities to support the March of Dimes, Frisbee dogs, and a mascot race (including the Super Mario Brothers!). Hannah and I even put a birthday message for Dan on the jumbo-tron.

We left in the middle of the sixth inning because of the heat, but we'll definitely be going to more games there in the future.

Very curious about the game

Very curious about Daddy's water bottle
