Aquarium!

We went to the aquarium on Saturday with our friends Sonja and Mike and their son, Luke.  Hannah had such a great time!

We guessed that she would like it because she loves her fish - whenever you say the word fish she points to it (even if we're not in her room, she'll point upstairs).  He is in a tank on a nightstand in the corner of her room, and she likes to sit on the nightstand (with our help) and point to him and talk to him.  She also really likes to "show" him things - her toys, her milk, etc.

She really loves animals in general these days, and she was SO excited about everything she saw.  She was even hugging herself because she couldn't hug the animals.

She and Luke also really enjoyed playing with the statues of animals that are around the aquarium - here she is enjoying some water along with her new "friend":

She LOVED touching the starfish and hermit crabs in the touch tank - at first she was really timid about it, but she was giggling and smiling when Dan and I touched them.  Eventually she tried it, and she was really happy.  The aquarium staff was really nice and took their time with her too, which we appreciated.

Hannah thought the jellyfish were really cool, and she kept pointing at them and trying to touch them also!

Besides all of the sea creatures though, one of Hannah's favorite parts of the aquarium was exploring the lockers in the entryway!

"What's inside here?"
"Hey, wait a second..."

After the kids got their fill of the aquarium, we walked over to the North End to get some pizza.  We had to wait a long time for our food, but it was definitely worth the wait!  And it was really cute - Hannah and Luke were sitting across from each other at the table.  They each had squeeze packets (all the babies we know LOVE these - it's basically just puree in a squeezable pouch) and were chatting like they were on a date and we were their chaperones...
