Standing! New Kicks!

We're so proud of Hannah - over the last few days, she has become so comfortable standing! She has spent much of this weekend standing without being supported. We've discovered that she's much more likely to stand alone if she's holding something or if she's been playing with something and leans back away from it.

You can tell that she's really proud of herself for being able to stand - what a big girl!!!!

We went to Stride Rite today and bought Hannah her first pairs of real shoes! They were having a big sale (Buy One, Get One 50% off) so we bought her a pair for now (size 4.5) and a pair for the next size up (size 5). They're so cute!!!!

The store was really crowded, so we tried to get in and out as quickly as we could. She was really excited to try them on and held on to them the whole way home. I took some photos once we got home - but then she got mad that she couldn't get the shoes off, so we had to stop.

Helping Daddy put on her new shoes

She figured out how to open the Velcro - uh oh!

"Ok, now what?"

"Get these off of me!"

PS - I should probably also mention that Hannah LOVES shoes. She gets really excited when it's time to put on her shoes, and she often tries to put them on herself. Here she is wearing Dan's shoes (she started putting them on, I just helped her get them on for real...)
