More Animals!

Yesterday, we took Hannah to the Sheep Shearing Festival at Gore Place in Waltham.   We had so much fun!

Our friend Sarah came along with us, and we met up with a few friends along the way!  Our first stop was lunch with Kelly, Beth, and their daughter Lilah (16 months old).  Lilah is our friend from the JFC&S group.  We don't get to see them as often now that Kelly is back at work, so it was nice to catch up.

We had Persian food - Hannah really liked eating Dan's cherry rice off his plate (one of the pitfalls of having her sit on our laps while eating.).

After lunch, we walked around and visited all of the animals.  Hannah LOVED it.  She called them all "ducks" (even the alpacas!) which we thought was really funny.

We weren't able to get very close during the sheep shearing because of the crowds, but Dan discovered that he and Hannah could see the sheep that were still in the trailer!  She was very excited, and even called me over to see them!

The wheel cover of the trailer was at the perfect height for her...

She also enjoyed talking to the chickens (again, she called them "ducks")!

We also saw a sheep-herding dog demonstration and several horses.  During the day, we also ran into Jen, Brian and Naomi (more friends from JFC&S) and my cousin Evan and his girlfriend Anya.
I'm not sure what her favorite part of the day was, but eating fresh strawberries from Russo's had to be at the top of Hannah's list:

What a wonderful day!
