Sledding

We took Hannah "sledding" this afternoon on our lawn - she seemed very confused by the whole experience!

She definitely did not like being bundled up in so many clothes, but there's no shock there. We haven't really spent much time outside this winter, so we weren't sure how many layers to put on her. She ended up wearing a short-sleeve onesie, a long-sleeve onesie, a fleece hoodie, mittens, and her coat, as well as two pairs of pants, socks, and knit booties. We also put on her hat and pulled the hood of the sweatshirt up over it. Overkill?

This sled was a hand-me-down from our friends Brittany and Rob, and it's so great - the perfect size for Hannah! She seemed to like sitting in it, and enjoyed when Dan pulled her around. But she sat SO still the whole time - very unlike our little monkey! We're not sure if she was just taking it all in, if she was scared, or if she was just so bundled up that she couldn't move...

She was giggling at one point - I wish I had caught it on video! Here's what I did capture:

Dan picked up some snow to let her touch it, and she immediately tried to eat it. She did NOT like it! :)

After she was done sledding, we put Hannah down in the snow to see how she would react. She really didn't like it - she tried to crawl but the bulk of her clothes held her back!

Snow baby!
