Hannah continues to amaze us with the progress that she's making and the things she's exploring. A few nights ago, we discovered that she had climbed inside ones of the cubbies of our coffee table. She fit in there perfectly when she was curled up, but then had trouble getting back out. It reminded me a little bit of Winnie the Pooh!
I had actually just read in our baby book that she's at the stage where she'll be exploring how things fit inside of one another and that she may try crawling into spaces that are too small for her. How funny! I wish I had gotten a photo of it, but she seemed to need rescuing too urgently.
She has definitely been attempting to put things inside of other containers to see what fits and what doesn't - I'm glad I read that in the book! She also likes to look underneath things and crawl under things.

We've also noticed that now she'll scoot across the floor on her butt sometimes rather than crawling a short distance. It's adorable!
She loves if we crawl around on the floor with her - she thinks it's a game and we're "chasing" her.
She also knows what the word "clap" means and will kiss you on the mouth if you pucker your lips in front of her. She definitely knows what the word "up" means and will gesture when she wants to be picked up by lifting her arms in the air. She waves goodbye if you tell her to say "bye-bye" to someone or something.
As you can tell from my photos, her hair is now growing SO fast! It hangs down on to her ears and I love to tuck it back behind them. She knows what a comb is for and likes to pretend to comb our hair. She's so curious about it, in fact, that it's very difficult to comb her hair because she wants to hold the comb!
She's really starting to look and act like a big kid - my friend Sarah actually commented about it a few weeks ago. Hannah fits in with all of the toddlers who just graduated from our Friday JFC&S group. Sometimes I have to remind myself that she's younger than a lot of her friends, when I see them doing things she can't do!
She has started to play more independently, but still gets upset when we leave her alone in a room. She and Dan do have a game that they play though - if he's in the kitchen and she's in the living room, he'll play peekaboo with her and they'll repeat sounds to one another. He has also perfected a good impression of Donald Duck that cracks her up!
She definitely has a longer attention span now at times and will even sit on our laps for short periods of time. We've also noticed that she's very clingy after she wakes up from her naps and wants to be held for about 10-15 minutes. Once that amount of time has gone by, she's suddenly back to her normal behavior and wriggles away from us!
One final thing - she now likes to lie down on things and cuddle with them. This seems especially true when there is a blanket or clothing on the floor.
