Hannah spends most of her day "talking" and learning how to make new sounds. We're really enjoying listening to her babble, and she continues to imitate words and sounds we make.
She now says "Dada" even more than before, but we're still fairly confident that it doesn't refer to Dan. If we try to get her to say "Mama," she very proudly says "A-Da A-Da." It's really funny! Maybe she thinks I'm Daddy! :)
She has also started making a concerned face and says something resembling "Whoa." I'm not sure that she's actually worried, or if that's just the muscles that are involved in making a W sound.
She has learned how to make the F sound, and sometimes it seems like she's actually trying to blow air out of her mouth. She likes it when we blow on her face, so it wouldn't surprise me if she's trying to blow back at us.
We repeat all of her sounds back to her to try and encourage her understanding of how to have a conversation, and she gets really excited when we imitate her.
Today it sounded like she said "No" when I tried to feed her green beans and parsnip (which she very adamantly didn't want).
Obviously none of these words are clear, but we're getting pretty good at deciphering what she means. We can't wait to hear what her first real word will be!
