Robin's Graduation Weekend

Last weekend we went to Hartford, CT for my sister's graduation from college. It was the first time that Hannah had ever stayed in a hotel, and she actually did really well! We were a little bit nervous about having her sleep in a pack-n-play with us again since she's been sleeping so well in her crib in her own room, but it went even better than we had expected! (it was also really helpful to have Grandma Mimi and Grandpa Sam right across the hall...)

We went out to dinner on Friday night with just the grandparents (Titi was at a senior event) and Hannah slept through the whole meal. The waitress kept commenting on how good she was being. Grandma made sure to tell the waitress that Hannah is always a good girl! (thanks, Mom!)

On Saturday morning, we met up with Robin and went out to lunch to celebrate. We then attended an awards ceremony from her department - she was the student from her major selected to win an award! It was so exciting to see her receive recognition for her achievements - especially because the two professors who presented her with the award said really nice things about her.

Here are a few pictures from the reception after the awards ceremony:

(Hannah passed on the pastries and fresh lemonade, deciding instead to just drink her bottle!)

Afterwards, we went to another reception and met up with our other relatives who were coming for Robin's graduation - Aunt Cindy and Uncle Ira, and Cousins Evan, David, and Carrie, as well as David and Carrie's kids Ilana, Jacob and Naomi! Hannah had already met her great-aunt and uncle and Cousin Evan, but she was a big hit with the rest of the group! Everyone was so happy for Robin and we all sat in a lounge for a while just playing and spending time together.

Then we spent a while playing in Robin's room before heading out to an Indian restaurant for dinner. It was a very long but exciting day!
