Ellis Paul Family Show

We took Hannah to the Ellis Paul family concert this afternoon at Club Passim.  Dan and I really like his children's music - it's very catchy and the lyrics are great for adults even though the songs are geared towards kids.

Hannah skipped her nap this afternoon so she was really tired at the concert and very mellow.  She had a really good time though - she liked the songs that had hand motions associated with them, and she really liked looking at the other kids around us (and their ice creams!).

As you can see, she also really enjoyed playing with Daddy's drink and chewing on his straw...

We bought his newest cd, The Hero in You, and got it autographed!  The cd is wonderful - each song is about different famous people and their stories (including Rosa Parks, Ben Franklin, and Jackie Robinson).  It won a Parent's Choice Gold Award, which was presented to him at the beginning of the show.

After the concert, we ate dinner at Wagamama.  Hannah really liked her yasai ramen soup (especially the broth)!  We must have been seated in the "family section" because while we were eating, two other groups came in with small kids and they were at the tables next to us - there was a line of high chairs!  It was kind of funny.

Walking around Harvard Square today was the first time in a really long time that we didn't take her somewhere in her stroller.  Because Club Passim is really small, we thought it would be better to just wear her in our Ergo carrier.  It was also the first time we've successfully worn her on our backs (before today, we'd always used it as a front carrier).  I have to say, it was sort of strange to walk around knowing she was on my back but not being able to see her.  I kept looking in store windows to make sure she was okay!
