Cape Cod, Day 1

We spent the week of June 9-16 on Cape Cod with my parents and Robin.  It was a GREAT vacation!  I'm going to make a separate post for each day just so I don't forget to include anything...

"Driving" with Grandpa

Because we weren't sure how much traffic we were going to hit on the way, we left pretty early.  We actually didn't encounter too much traffic, so we stopped at IHOP in Hyannis for lunch (we were too early to check in to the house that we had rented).

Silly girl!
Stirring

Hannah thought this was a great idea, because she LOVES pancakes!  We even ended up with leftovers, which she ate for breakfast on a few other mornings.

The house we rented was the perfect size for our family and had floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room with amazing views of a creek.  We were able to walk right down to the water and there was a big hammock on the lawn to relax in!

She LOVES carrying things this way!
Ahh....

We enjoyed watching several swans who seem to live in the water right near the house.  They must be used to getting fed fairly often, because they swam right up to Hannah and Dan.  She really liked them.

We spent a few hours settling into the house and figuring out where things were.  Then we headed out into Hyannis for dinner.  We had heard good things about the Black Cat Tavern, so we decided to check it out.  It was total chaos!

After bringing us into the dining room and making us wait for two tables to be pushed together and set, they informed us that their one highchair was being used.  Are you serious?  One high chair?  In a family resort town?  They gave us a booster seat for her to sit in until the other family left, but it didn't have a safety restraint.  Luckily they finished eating pretty quickly!
