We took Hannah to Parlee Farms yesterday afternoon to feed the animals and get a few pumpkins. I joked that there was something there for everyone - cider donuts for Dan, pumpkins for me, and animals for Hannah!
We told Hannah where we were going, and she started making goat and sheep noises! So cute.
She has gotten so much better at feeding the animals, and doesn't seem to be afraid at all about walking up to them. She still tries to keep her fist closed (I think so she doesn't drop the food), but then the animals have more trouble getting the food. When we showed her how to hold it open and flat, the goats licked her palm and she started laughing.
After feeding the animals, we went over to see their hay maze. As you can see in the photos, there were tons of kids running on top of the hay instead of between the rows, so we put Hannah up there to see if she liked it. She thought it was really exciting.

Almost immediately after this photo was taken, Hannah proceeded to fall head first off the hay into the middle of the maze. It wasn't completely our fault, a bigger girl ran by Hannah and confused her, and she was closer to the edge than we realized. I hate when older kids don't pay attention to where they're going and get too close to Hannah - it's one of my major pet peeves these days.
Luckily the hay was soft enough that she didn't get hurt, but she was very startled and scared. We were scared because she basically disappeared into the maze. Luckily Dan was able to jump over it pretty quickly and pick her up. Not one of our finer moments...
After some cuddles and kisses, we decided it was time to look for some pumpkins. I really wanted to get a photo of Hannah sitting with the pumpkins, but since she basically never sits still these days, it wasn't in the cards. At least I got a bunch of good action shots! :)
