Last weekend, Dan and I went to NYC for the weekend to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary (it's not for a few weeks, but this worked out to be the best weekend for us to go). Hannah stayed here with my parents and my sister.
It was the first time that we'd both been away from her overnight at the same time, and we were really nervous. We didn't need to worry though - she had a great time. We think we may have missed her even more than she missed us!
My parents came into town on Thursday so we could spend a little time with them before we left, and so we could make sure Hannah was comfortable with them before we left. Hannah loved showing them around our library (I was surprised to discover that she remembers all of the little things we do there - like playing with Mrs. Potato Head and the dishes they have in the children's room).
They also had a great time playing outside with Hannah in the yard...

Thursday night, we all went out to dinner at Cafe Azteca to celebrate (we got married on my parents' 35th wedding anniversary, so it's always been a special day for all of us).
It was her first time riding in the car seat facing forward, and she really liked it (and the fact that Dan and I were sitting on either side of her in the back of my parents' car).

Hannah enjoyed the restaurant a lot, especially because she had rice and beans for dinner (two of her current favorites!).
After we left on Friday, they took her to the aquarium. I think they had a really good time even though some of the exhibits were closed because of construction there. Hannah apparently loved the mac and cheese at the cafeteria there. They took some great photos!

On Saturday, they all went to the mall so my sister could look for a bridesmaid dress. I guess Hannah did okay at first, but after a while she wasn't really cooperating anymore, until they ran into Becca and Josh and played in the kids' play area!

They also had a lot of fun playing at our house!

Thank you guys so much! We had a great weekend, and maybe we can make it a tradition... :)
