On Memorial Day, we drove to Connecticut to celebrate our friends' son's first birthday! Jay (Dan's childhood best friend) and Kristen have an adorable little boy, Drew, and it was so nice to spend time with them and be there for his special day!

It was a lot of fun watching Drew running around the party - apparently he's really good at walking when he holds on to someone's fingers. He just recently decided to start crawling right when he was getting the hang of walking. Babies are so funny sometimes!
Kristen's mom made the cake for the party - it was very cute. The lion's face was made of two-layer cake and then the mane was all cupcakes...

It's always hysterical to watch kids try cake for the first time - they never really know what to do with it!
