He had been slow to gain weight at the beginning, so we were there fairly often during his first few weeks. At his 1 month appointment (11/5/13), he weighed 7 pounds, 9.5 ounces (14.5 ounces above his birth weight). He was 21 inches long and his head circumference was 36.8 cm.
Now he weighs 11 lbs., 7 oz (3 lbs., 14 ounces more than at his 1 month visit!), is 23 inches long and his head circumference is 39 cm. When compared to other babies who were born a little early, he's above average in length and average weight.
Out of curiosity, I checked Hannah's stats from her 2 month visit - he weighs almost 2 pounds more than she did! And his head is almost 2 centimeters bigger. Wow!
The doctor's only concern about Ezra was that his head is starting to get just a little bit flat on the left side. She said he just seems to favor that side; probably his neck muscles are stronger on that side. She wants us to make sure he looks to his right when he's lying on his back or doing tummy time and she's pretty sure it'll fix itself in a couple of months.
He also got four vaccines today. He has another appointment at the beginning of February.
