Hannah was really excited about our plans so she wanted to wear a dress with leggings. This is one of my current favorite dresses of hers - it's reversible. You can't really see it in the photos, but there's an adorable whale embroidered at the bottom too.

While Dan and I were getting ready, Hannah and Ezra played in a pretend train in our bedroom. Ezra was just happy to sit in the laundry basket without any toys, but Hannah made it into a great game!

Then it was off to the Somerville Food Truck Festival! It was very lively and exciting at the festival, with live music and lots of families Sadly, it was also VERY hot and there was barely any shade since it was held in a parking lot. But we still had fun.
Hannah especially liked that she got to have treats for lunch - tortilla chips, applesauce, a whoopie pie and ice cream. (shh, don't tell her parents!)

Dan and I enjoyed sampling food from several different trucks - Bon Me (we had Vietnamese Banh Mi sandwiches), Pennypackers (grilled sweet potato sandwich and chilled beet soup), Compliments Food Truck (grilled cheese and fried cauliflower bites), and Frozen Hoagies (homemade ice cream sandwiches). YUM.
With very full bellies, we decided to stop by the new Lego Discovery Center that recently opened right near there. It was very crowded and the kids were tired so we didn't pay to go in, but we did browse the gift shop for a while. Hannah really liked making her own little Lego figurines. She also loved this giant Lego giraffe outside the store...
Hannah napped on the way home from the festival, so when she woke up we went for a girls' "date" to the library - just the two of us. I haven't spent much time with just her in a while, so it was a real treat for me. We did a lot of playing and reading and it made me realize that I need to carve out more time for us to play without Daddy or her little brother.
We've been enjoying bringing home backpacks of books from the library recently - they have set backpacks on different themes that include a bunch of books, a DVD, and some actitivites. We've taken out the Water one, the Garden one, and the Truck one. This time, we got the Princess Backpack!
