A lot had changed at Emerson since Ezra was born - now pretty much everything happens right in your room (including his bath!). They encourage "rooming-in" meaning that your baby stays with you for most of your hospital stay. Because Nathan was very "spitty," our night nurse took him a few times so we could get some sleep without worrying about him. We really liked her and definitely appreciated this!
Our nurse (I wish I remembered her name!) also found this funny sweater/hat combo for him and thought he looked adorable in it! :)
PS - we discovered that if you order strictly cold/room temperature items the food at Emerson isn't so bad. I really liked the bread/muffin basket at breakfast. We still never saw the supposed pastry cart - I wonder if it's an illusion?
Skin to skin contact is the best!
