Ezra's Play Group

Ezra and I recently joined a play group just for kids his own age!  The group will be meeting on Mondays, which works really well since Hannah is at school on Mondays this year.  They may alternate other days of the week, but we'll only be able to go on Mondays unfortunately - I seem to have over-scheduled Hannah just a bit (school on Mondays and Wednesdays, Jewish preschool class on Tuesdays, gymnastics on Thursdays and play group on Fridays).

Anyway, the baby play group first met this past Monday - it was just me and two other moms and their little ones, but we're hoping more people will join as time goes on and naps shift from earlier to later.

We went to a local playground and let the babies play on a blanket with musical toys.  The other two little ones are older than Ezra (a boy who is 15 months old and walking, and a little girl who just turned one the other day) but he still had fun watching them and interacting with them.  Most of the time, he actually didn't really respond when they took toys from him, which surprised me because he and Hannah are always fighting over toys these days.  He definitely made his opinion known though, especially when the others took away the musical shaker egg he was playing with - by far his favorite toy of the morning!

I'm excited to meet new people and reconnect with some others who we played with when Hannah was a baby but have drifted apart from.  Their 2nd kids are around Ezra's age, so it's great.
